Audio input

What is audio input?

Audio input is a source of an audio signal that can come from a device’s built-in microphone, an external mic or an audio interface attached to the device. Audio input devices capture audio, whereas audio output devices play audio for you to hear (examples are speakers, monitors and headphones).

For live streaming, you might use a streaming software that has a built-in audio mixer. Software like this is capable of taking several audio inputs and mixing them to produce full audio for your live stream.
