Connect a client

All clients point at the same endpoint. The first tool call triggers the OAuth browser sign-in.

Review the security model first. The server can create clip projects, create and reschedule events, remove events, and toggle destinations. Keep human confirmation enabled in your client and review write tool calls before approving them.

Claude.ai / Claude Desktop

Restream is listed in the Claude connector directory. Open claude.ai/directory/restream, click Connect, and sign in with your Restream account. The connector is then available in both Claude.ai and Claude Desktop.

If your organization blocks directory connectors, add it by URL instead: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.

Grok Bot

Restream has its own plugin page in Grok Bot, so there's nothing to search for or paste.

1. Open the Restream plugin
Open Restream for Grok Bot.

2. Add Restream
Click Add, then sign in to your Restream account when prompted.

Once connected, browse the Grok Bot templates for live streaming — ready-made bots for live-chat research, stream analytics, transcripts, and archiving.

Muse

Muse connects to Restream from the chat itself, so there are no settings to open and nothing to configure.

1. Ask Muse to connect
Send Muse a message like this:

2. Authorize
Muse asks you to authorize. Sign in with your Restream account when prompted.

3. Done
Muse finishes the setup in the same chat. Ask it to list your connected Restream channels to check.

Cursor

Restream is available directly in Cursor, so there's no config file to edit.

1. Open Customize
In Cursor, open Customize from the left sidebar.

2. Add Restream
Search for Restream and click Add, then sign in to your Restream account when prompted.

Verify

Ask the assistant: "List my connected Restream channels." It should request permission to call the Restream tools and return your channels by platform and display name. If you see them, you're connected.
