Facebook saves all of your live videos as posts as soon as the stream ends. The video is also saved in your Facebook video library. You can download your Facebook Live video by logging into your account, navigating to your profile, and clicking Videos. Under your videos, click on the video you want to download. In the top right, click on the three dots, then click Download Video. Your download should start automatically.

You can also save a Facebook Live video by going to your page or profile, finding the video, and downloading it. On your profile page, scroll down until you find the post containing your live video. Click on it so the post expands. Then, click on the three dots in the top right corner and click Download Video. It won’t start downloading right away; it will go full-screen instead. Check to make sure the video plays, then right-click on the video and select Save Video As. You can then save the video as a file on your computer.

Note: You cannot download previously streamed Facebook Live videos on mobile. You can only do it on a desktop or laptop computer.

👉 Pro tip:

If you go live on Facebook using Restream, you’ll be able to stream to other platforms, like YouTube and LinkedIn, at the same time. Restream will save a copy of each of your broadcasts as well. You can access them by logging into Restream, clicking on the Video Storage icon on the left side of your dashboard, then clicking the Recordings tab.
