Twitter lets you schedule live streams in advance so you can let your followers know you plan to go live ahead of time. When you schedule a Twitter live stream, your broadcast will automatically start at the time and date you set. However, note that only Twitter users with access to Media Studio may schedule live streams; it’s not possible to schedule a live stream for later on mobile.

  1. Log into your Twitter account.
  2. Click “More” on your home page, then click “Media Studio.”
  3. You’ll be taken to your library, where you can see all the media you’ve uploaded to Twitter.
  4. Click the “Producer” tab at the top.
  5. Click “Create Broadcast” in the top right corner to start a new live video.
  6. Give your broadcast a name and add a category.
  7. Under the “Source” pull-down menu, select “Create a New Source.” Give your source a name and select your region.
  8. Click “Create.”
  9. Under “Schedule” select the “Start later” option and set a date and time for your Twitter live stream.
  10. Upload an image to display when you Tweet the link to your upcoming broadcast.
  11. Click “Create broadcast” and tweet a link to your broadcast to promote it.
  12. Your live video will start automatically at the date and time you’ve set.
